Hello. We are Ken & Darcy Searl from Roswell, Georgia. We met at a Financial Planning Conference with one of our early dates on Ken's 32 Marinette. We knew early that being on the water would always be something we both loved. We have a Financial Planning Business and plan to continue working and servicing clients while we travel. We both have three children from former marriages with the last one off to College in the Fall, thus "Just Us". We also have five grandchildren. The "Great Loop" has been a dream of ours for sometime and now that we are empty nesters "so-to-speak", it is our time. We have been boating for many years with Ken having his first boat at age 14. Darcy grew up on the Louisiana Bayou with her dad's shrimping business. Our boating experience until March, 2004 had mostly been confined to the closed-end waters on Lake Lanier. We knew that in order to make this adventure happen we would have to sell off all existing boats and toys and other properties(Kids and Grandkids Not Happy). Since March of 2005 we have been on the Tennessee River preparing the boat and learning everything we can about river life, locking and navagating. We will be adding new electronics as it seems everything that came with "Just Us" has broken or didn't work correctly to begin with. New term to us "BOAT" --Bring Out Another Thousand.
